Energy Consumption
This rating is based on the watt hours per dry of the hand dryer which is derived from the rated power and the time taken to dry the hands. We have used the figures based on either the manufacturer’s dry time, if yet to be in house tested or based on the in house testing dry time we have conducted. This will also be based on the most energy efficient setting, if the hand dryer is adjustable for speed and/or heat.

Energy Efficient and High speed hand dryer

The SMARTdri hand dryer has one of the lowest energy power ratings on the market, ranging from 0.4kw to 1.2kw.

The SMARTdri eco hand dryer is one of the first hand dryers to incorporate a variable speed motor and warm or ambient air temperature option., The motor provides a high airflow at high speeds and unlike many high speed hand dryers, the airflow is not highly compressed; instead it covers the entire surface area of the hands.

The SMARTdri eco consumes up to 83% less energy than many conventional hand dryers, and up to 73% less energy than some competing high speed hand dryers.

Dry speeds for the SMARTdri are stated in the manufacturers specification at 12 to 20 seconds, although the SMARTdri hand dryer does struggle a little on the eco setting and 20 seconds may be ambitious.

Are SMARTdri hand dryers reliable?

The SMARTdri is guaranteed for 720,000 dries, twice the guarantee offered on the Dyson Airblade. The new motor technology utilised by the SMARTdri eco hand dryer provides industry leading stanadards in durability and is provided with a full 5 year on-site guarantee. The SMARTdri hand dryer has a removable, washable air filtration system, which reduces dirt and other debris from entering the motor by up to 95%, ensuring long term trouble-free hand drying.

Is the SMARTdri hand dryer hygienic?

The SMARTdri eco hand dryer utilises SteriTouch® antibacterial surface protection. SteriTouch® impregnated surfaces restricts the proliferation of dangerous organisms such as bacteria, mould and fungi on all internal and outer surface areas. The filter also prevents a build up of dirt and the unheated ambient air temperature option limits bacteria proliferation. SMARTdri noise reduction technology

The SMARTdri eco hand dryer not only offers high speed hand drying and energy efficiency, but it has also been developed with the user’s acoustic experience in mind. The air outlet has been specifically designed to produce a pleasant pitch and restrict unnecessary noise. The specified decibel level is still 82 dbA which is considerably higher than many options.
